BIO

Lisa Moses is an artist, interior architect, designer, and educator whose multidisciplinary practice spans paintings, installations, environments, and creative direction. Working at the intersections of biomimicry, spatial design, and consciousness studies, she investigates how natural systems, embodied perception, and lived experience can transform the way we engage with the world.

Her work integrates research-driven methodologies with intuitive inquiry, generating drawings, paintings, and built environments that operate as interactive ecosystems. Through dimensional experimentation and public participation, Moses explores how the wisdom of the natural world can inform sustainable design solutions and deepen human-environment connection. Rooted in history, theory, and emerging technologies, her practice links artistic expression with ecological responsibility. She fosters cross-disciplinary dialogue and demonstrates how creativity can catalyze meaningful responses to contemporary global challenges.

Moses’s work has been exhibited nationally and recognized in The New York Times, Interior Design, Artforum, and The Boston Globe. An educator since 2003, she has taught at institutions including Rhode Island School of Design, Naropa University, and the University of Colorado, mentoring emerging artists and designers through critique, concept development, and cross-disciplinary experimentation. Her current research explores consciousness, metaphysics, living systems, and biomimicry, weaving these inquiries into work that bridges art, environment, and advanced science.
